We're not in Kansas anymore!

But what happened before the house landed on the witch?!
A whole heck of a lot ! If you have the time and the dime go see Wicked!
Join me this Saturday in NEW YORK, to see Wicked! On BROADWAY! No? Too bad that's where I'll be this weekend.
For realz!

After that amazing show I'll be setting sail on a CRUISE with some of my related peeps. I'm looking forward to it so much that I'm getting a touch lazy at work cuz I don't want to be there. I want to be on vacation already!
But I will get to see one if my bosses before I leave, which means tomorrow I have to bust my ass to get people assigned and out of my referral log so it doesn't look like I'm slacking so much.
But I'll be good. It'll be a nice last min get everything together pass over my book and phone so that she can have everything with her while I'm gone.

I also still need to pack. Bleh! But I'll be ready. I realllllllllly can't wait. This will be amazing!

Happy Halloween everyone! Peace yo's.

Busy

My dad says I never blog anymore. Which is true. I don't.
Some updates since graduating.
I went back to school. Only taking one class at a time because math is harder now than it was in high school.
I completed cal 1 in the spring and took cal 2 over the summer. Which was realllllllllly stupid. More stupid than that is I started a job a job near the end of the semester.
The job is amazing. I really like it, but I think my bosses demand more of me than I think I can give. They know how to do the jobs and tasks of three people, I don't. I know how to be one person. So the job is very challenging at times because I have 2 main people and 5-20 lesser people pulling me in all directions and expecting everything to run perfect.
 :(

At least my bosses really like me and think I'm very good at my job. They just don't like they I show up late sometimes. They even changed my hours so I could go in later meaning I have to stay later in the day and are now forcing me to take a break. So instead of going in 9a-3p which was great, now I have to go in 930a-4 and take a 30 min break which sucks. Because even on my break I'm still working since I can't complete the massive todo list that is set out each day.
It's very very very overwhelming. And consantly busy.

I ended up talking to my boss today who informed that they were on the verge of letting me go because of the few times I've been minutes late. Which is lame but understandable. But they decided not to because I'm good at my job. Which makes me think... If I'm that good at my job let me be late. It's shouldn't be that big of a deal.

But back to cal 2. I didn't get get a good enough grade to take cal 3 this semester so I'm taking cal 2 again. At night. Which isn't too bad. But it still isn't an easy class. Calculus sucks cheese balls.

And I got a babysitting/care giving job for Tuesday/Thursday nights which I'm thinking is now a mistake but I need the money to pay off my loans.

Work sucks. Responsablities is a pain in my butt. :(

so many plans

Between now and walking the college stage and after graduation into the summer there are so many things that are on a list of at least 10 things that I'm attending and probably 5-10 that I'm forgetting or that haven't been planed yet.
Oh memory, why do you fail me so?

On another note about 3 weeks ago there was the start of a new tradition at Texas A&M San Antonio started a new ring ceremony. They invited me to go, and I thought 'Sure why not?' I told my parents and family about it and they said that should be able to get there after work.
I took my sister and brother with me up to the school waited for my mom and dad to arrive.
My mom arrived shortly before the ceremony was to start and we waited for my dad as two very mono-toned speakers spoke about how much the school had done for them, future events that will be held at the school, and how they plan to have a new annual ring ceremony starting with that day.
During these two speakers my mom and myself were looking for my dad as he hadn't shown up yet. The third speaker announced that everyone who already had a ring could stand up and make a line with a family member that will present your ring to you over the seal of the college. As I got up to stand in line, I was still looking for my dad and asked my mom to come with me to present my ring, cuz I didn't want to be up there alone, and my sister to take the pictures. Talk about cutting it close! Just before it was my turn I saw my dad and my mom was ushering him over to where he needed to be to present me with my ring, and she took some pictures.
I'm glad that he showed up just in time to present my ring. I would have been just as happy if my mom presented me with my ring since she has been just as supportive in my college career. Either way it worked out and it went smoothly. :)

Next step in my college adventure take some math classes, and start paying for my loans.

Also on another note, there is a a jewelry store that I walked into today to see if they would re-shape my rings for free since I didn't buy anything from them, and they rings I asked them to re-shape were also not purchased from them. Well they re-shaped the rings and the rings are awesome now, I really like them! They even polished the rings for me.

Thats all for now.

Tax season

Between January and April I work in a tax office. During the season I see a lot of people in a LOT of different situations. This year was no different, many of the same situations occurred, and some new ones. I don't do anyone's taxes in the tax office, I'm the receptionist. Each year the tax pros tell me to take the classes and become a tax pro, which isn't something I'm interested in doing right now. I like my job and I like my co-workers, for the most part. This year was a little different. There was actually a co-worker that I and I think 8 other people didn't like, fortunately about half way through the season she moved offices and my office didn't have to put up with her nonsense anymore.
I'm sad that the season is over for a number of reasons: I'll miss my co-workers, I'll miss my friends and most of all I'll miss my money!

But there is always next season which I hope to get hired back for, cuz I have college loans that I need to start paying back starting in the summer.
Good thing I saved 90% of my paychecks, hopefully it'll last me til the next season starts up since I don't really want to have to get another job right away or anytime soon if I don't have to.

Graduation- restated, Math, Work, Irish

I already stated in Feb that I have a degree and ring, but I have yet to hang my degree, maybe I will this weekend. I had to send my ring back and get it re-sized because it was too big. I just got it back yesterday. Tomorrow I am going to attend a "honoring the ring" ceremony at the college.
Even tho it was "official" December 18th, 2012, I put off walking the stage until May so that whatever family wanted to come out they had more time than a month to plan for it. And more time to think of and possibly send me gifts. :D My mom is thinking either an Alaskan Cruise for her, dad and I (BTW dad, get your passport. :P) or a trip to Austin to see Barry Manilow. And as much as I love Manilow, and some stops in Austin I think I'd rather have the Cruise... or ya know, Both.

I am still in college this semester taking Calculus I. We have taken two tests and have two test and final to go. I did awesome on the first test (90) and okay on the second (79). I can do test corrections to get back 20% of the grade lost I might do them for the second test. But the lowest of the four tests gets dropped at the end of the class. So I just have to get more than an 85s on the next two and a 90 on the final to get an A in the class without having to do test corrections.

Other than my math class the other thing to talk about for this semester would be my Job. This season we got a new Office Manager, and no one likes him.
My office manager sent me a text yesterday telling my I have a meeting that I Have to attend with my District Leader tomorrow. When I asked both my Office Manager and District Leader what this meeting was for, my Office Manager said "dont be late" and my District Leader didn't respond to my email. -- Awesome. I'm totally getting fired tomorrow. I hope not, but my Office Manager has just been terrible to me all season and probably spewed off some bullshit to my District Leader.
I hope I get hired back next season, and if I do and the current Office Manager is the manager next season almost everyone including me will not be going back to our current office. Almost all of us with try our best to transfer out and leave him with new people who cant do anything.

Oh, and for the last three weeks, twice a week Ive been going to Physical Therapy for my neck because its been causing me tons of pain since the car accident. once its better I'm submitting all my Co-Pays to the insurance company for reimbursement. $12 a visit twice a week adds up.
So far in 4 visits my neck is doing much better. I just have to keep doing the exercises and hopefully it gets its range back.

Last The High Kings are probably my new favorite band. I like all of their songs and they are the only band on my phone. They are an Irish band, so if you listen to the song, I've included the sad lyrics below the video.

In the village of Kilgory, there’s a maiden young and fair
Her eyes they shone like diamonds, she had long and golden hair
Then a countryman came riding, up to her father's gates
Mounted on a milk-white stallion, he came at the stroke of eight

Chorus:
Step it out, Mary, my fine daughter
Step it out, Mary, if you can
Step it out, Mary, my fine daughter
Show your legs to the wealthy man

I have come to wed your daughter, Mary of the golden hair
I have gold and I have silver I have land beyond compare
I will buy her silks and satin and a gold ring from her hand
I will buy for her a mansion, she'll have servants to command

Chorus

Kind sir I love a soldier, I have pledged to him my hand
I don't want your gold or silver, I don't want you house or land
Mary’s father spoke up sharply, You will do as you are told
You will marry him on Sunday and you'll wear his ring of gold

Chorus

Near the village of Kilgory there's a deep stream running by
They found Mary there at midnight, she had drowned with her soldier boy
In the village there is music, you can hear her father say
Step it out Mary, my fine daughter, Sunday is your wedding day.

Chorus twice.

Aaaaaaahhh

Last semester was my last semester for my bachelors degree. It was really crazy and busy so I forgot about this blog. I only remembered recently when my Dad asked if I was ever going to post in it again.

Last semester I took 4 classes: Research methods and design, ethnic literature, health psychology, and abnormal psychology.

My research methods and design class was taught by a new professor whom was super good looking. His good looks made him very easy to pay attention to basically everything he was saying. The class wasn't hard anyway, cuz it was basically all statistics which is easy. My professor for this class Knew he was good looking, but he is married. Passed with a 92.

My health psychology class is the only one I was worried about. I had taken it in the summer but then I got into a car accident and ended up failing the class cuz I missed a test. But I retook the class and passed with an 80.

My abnormal psychology class was MEGA boring!!! It did not help that the class was a once a week from 7p-10p. I could Not stop yawning in his class. I didn't much care for this professor. I took him once before in my very first semester at Texas A&M and vowed never to take him again cuz he is the most monotones professor in the world. He also goes off on useless uninteresting tangents, and does not return grades in a timely manor. In this class we had 5 grades and by the end of the semester we only know the grade of one of them leaving people completely clueless to what they were making in the class. I ran out of that class with an 81!

My last class of the semester was ethnic lit. I really like the professor teaching this course. This was the fourth (fall 11 / spring 12 / summer 12 / fall 11) class I've taken with her. So I'd been sitting in a class of hers every semester for a year. In the beginning of the semester I told her it was my last English class and she told me I'd pass. As the semester went one she graded one of my essays that was a week late as if it wasn't late. And I'm not even sure of she looked at my final essay cuz I asked for comments to be returned with it. On the last day of class she sent me an email time marked at 12:46p asking me to resend my email cuz she couldn't open it. And on black board the time stamp for my grade on the essay was 12:48p for an 80... I didn't respond to her email until after 3p. Either way I pass her class with an 84!

THIS CHICK IS A COLLEGE GRAD!
